LASSO Notification Guide
One of the many advantages to using LASSO is the ability to quickly and easily communicate with your crew. This guide explains LASSO's Notification features and provides recommendations on enabling them.
Every client is different, so please review your notification settings carefully to make the best decisions for you and your crew.
Where to find your settings: Notification settings are located under the Administration drop-down menu, in Company Settings. Click the Notifications tab to view your settings.
Crew Notifications vs. LASSO Alerts
Crew Notifications are messages sent out to your crew by LASSO Users and Admins. Crew Notifications are never sent without a LASSO User/Admin triggering the message or having a hand in sending it.
LASSO Alerts are emails that come back to your Admins and Users to let you know that crew have interacted with LASSO in some capacity.
Notification Delivery Types
LASSO recommends enabling all three delivery types to ensure your crew receive your messages:
App Push Messages come from the LASSO mobile app. Crew must have the app downloaded and their push notifications enabled.
Email notifications go to the crew email on file.
SMS text messages go to the crew phone number on file.
Tips and Tricks
Adjusting notification settings
After your Notifications and Alerts are configured, Admins/Users can adjust the settings as needed, but frequent changes shouldn't be necessary. Admin/User permissions can be set to prevent certain Admins/Users from modifying these settings.
"Reply To" and "Recipients"
⚠️ Important: If no email address is listed in the "Reply To" or "Recipients" field, the notification reply or alert will not be generated or received.
Placeholders
Customize your notifications to include your crew member's name or the event name. Possible placeholders include:
$EVENT_PUBLISH_NAME$TOURPUBLISH_NAME$ACCOUNT_NAME$CREW_FIRST_NAME$CREW_LAST_NAME
Placeholders populate automatically with the custom information for the person receiving the message.
Directing your crew's questions
You can choose to include an email address for crew questions in your notification footers. LASSO Support is always available to help and will direct questions back to your admins or crew contact — this helps direct crew to the right place to get their questions answered.
