Setting up the registration process for your crew in LASSO is essential for collecting the right information and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience. This guide will walk you through the steps to configure the registration process effectively.
Navigate to Company Settings
Click on the Administration tab located at the top of your LASSO site. Select Company Settings, then choose the "Registration" tab.
Customize the Welcome Section
Start your Crew Registration with a custom title and welcome message.
Update the Title:
Change the title of the registration page to something that reflects your company's brand.
Write a Custom Welcome Message:
Add a friendly introduction and any key information your crew needs to know upfront.
Edit Basic Details:
Update the basic details that will appear to your users. This is a great place to set expectations and provide important guidelines.
Select Required Profile Details
Profile Details include information such as legal first/last name, address, emergency contacts, references, and more.
Determine which fields are required for Crew to answer
Each field can be marked as "Required," "Optional," or "Hidden," giving you full control over the information collected.
"Hidden" questions will not be shown to crew during registration.
Upload Crew Policy Documents
If you have any crew policy documents, talk to your LASSO Onboarding Specialist or Customer Success Manager for assistance adding Policy Documents. You can require crew members to accept these policies when they log in, ensuring they are fully aware of the guidelines from the start.
Note: Clients must be contracted for the Signature module of LASSO to utilize the Policy Documents section of registration.
Set Up the Position Section
Crew can apply for positions they would like to be considered for. Only Administrators and Users with the correct permissions can approve crew for positions. Registering for a position essentially means that the crew member would like to be considered for that position in future events.
Decide whether you want your crew members to be able to select all positions to apply for or require them to select positions individually.
If you do not want Crew to be able to apply for specific positions at all, or do not want Crew to apply for any positions, the Positions Settings will allow you to change the position application status to "Closed". This will hide the position from Crew applicants. This can be helpful for office positions and highly technical roles.
Configure the Rate Section
If you would like Crew to also submit a desired pay rate for their positions, this can also be captured during Registration. This can help with understanding freelancer pay ranges.
Check the "Request Rates from Crew" box to include this in your Registration.
Rates can either be collected "Per Position" or as an overall rate. Administrators and Users have the final say on what rate will be associated with each crew and position.
If you do not wish to have crew submit a desired rate of pay, uncheck the box for "Request Rates from Crew".
Request Files from Your Crew
Request Resumes or Photos:
You can ask for resumes or photos from your crew members. Choose how many photos to collect and customize the name of the photo field (e.g., "Headshot" or "Profile Photo").
The first image uploaded will be the Profile Photo of the crew profile.
Include a Thank You Section
Craft a final message that users will see after completing the registration process. This is a great place to thank them and provide any next steps, such as scheduling an interview or keeping an eye out for an email.
