Setting up notifications and alerts in LASSO is a crucial step in ensuring that your team stays informed and can be responsive. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you configure these settings in LASSO.
Navigate to Company Settings
Click on the Administration tab located at the top of your LASSO site. Select Company Settings, then choose the "Notifications" tab.
Notifications vs Alerts
You'll notice that the Notifications settings page is divided into two types of notifications: Crew Notifications and LASSO Alerts.
Crew Notifications are messages that are sent to Crew members.
LASSO Alerts are messages sent to Administrators and Users to notify them of action within LASSO.
Helpful Tips
You’ll notice small info bubbles
next to various notification types and alerts. Hover over these icons to get detailed explanations of what each notification or alert does. This can help you understand the purpose and functionality of each setting, or explain the type of message.
Understanding Crew Notifications
Crew Notifications are messages sent to your Crew. Notifications have to be sent or scheduled sent by Administrator or User; LASSO will not generate notifications that an Administrator or User has not had a hand in crafting.
Each notification has a help bubble
next to it to explain when the notification is sent or how it is triggered.
To start editing a notification, click the blue pencil icon
to the right of the notification. Once you're done editing the notification, save it by clicking the save icon ![]()
Select the delivery method for the notifications. Options include App push notification, email, and SMS text message.
Certain messages are not able to be sent via SMS text message due to the sheer number of notifications this would generate.
It's possible to Delay messages by a set number of seconds. When opting to delay a notification, LASSO will aggregate other messages going to that Crew member and alert them to "Multiple new messages" in their LASSO Mobile App. This can be helpful in preventing crew from feeling bombarded by back-to-back text messages.
To send messages immediately, set the delay to zero.
If the notification is being sent via email, Crew can reply to those emails. In order for those replies to be received, there must be at least one email address entered into the "Reply To" section. Separate multiple emails with a comma.
Replies to Crew emails can also be sent to a User Group. Set up User Groups from the User Directory.
If no recipients are added, Crew will receive a bounce-back email informing them that they have emailed an unmonitored email. Reply to options are not available for SMS text messages or App notifications.

Customize Crew Notifications
The Subject Line, Header, and Footer of the email notifications can be customized.
The email footer is a great place to put standard information like a point of contact.
At this time, changes to the subject, header, and footer will only impact the email notifications. Customization of SMS messages and app push notifications is not available.
Utilize Merge Fields to further customize your notifications with information specific to that Crew member or the event they are working. Some merge tags can be located in the help bubbles on the Notifications page.

Automatic Shift Reminders
Set up Automatic Shift Reminders to be sent to your crew. Select the number of days or hours before the shift that the notification should be sent. Crew will be sent these reminders for EVERY shift that they are assigned, not just per event.
Choose the delivery method for the Shift Reminder, and enter a "Reply to" email to capture crew replies to the email notification.
Pro Tip: Enter a NEGATIVE number of days for messages to go out AFTER events!
Automatic Payment Reminders
For our customers utilizing LASSO to collect invoice payments, Automatic Payment Reminders can be sent to your client contact.
Payment reminders can be scheduled before or after the invoice due date, and can be customized as well.
Understanding and Customizing LASSO Alerts
LASSO Alerts notify Administrator and Users of action within LASSO. These messages are only sent via email. Each alert has a help bubble
next to it to explain how the alert is triggered.
To start editing an alert, click the blue pencil icon
to the right of the alert. Once you're done editing the notification, save it by clicking the save icon ![]()
Alerts can be enabled or disabled, and the subject line can be customized. Multiple email addresses can be added as recipients; separate emails by a comma. User Groups can also be selected as the recipient of LASSO Alerts.
Merge Fields can also be utilized in LASSO Alerts.
Important: If an Alert is enabled, but no recipients are listed, the alert will not send. That's like trying to send an email to no one!

By following these steps, you can effectively set up and customize notifications and LASSO alerts to keep your team informed and stay efficient.
