Account Event Status: A custom status assigned to each event that can be used to trigger automations. Add account statuses under Company Settings.

Account Status: same as Account Event Status above

Asset: A single physical item you can track. Each barcode = one asset.

Asset Availability: the determination on if there is enough of a specific product or asset to be available for an event during a set time period

Asset Serial Code (Barcode): The unique code on a single tracked item. Scanning this checks out that specific item.

Barcode: See Asset Serial Code.

Bill Rate: What you charge the client per hour for a crew position. Compare to Pay Rate (what you pay the crew member).

Bill Rules: a specific set of rules that indicate how financials should be calculated

Charge Quantity: the total number of assets to charge for. Allows for the inclusions of spare units to be sent on an order but not charged to the end client.

Close Bidding / Call Filled: a shift(s) or position(s) that have been filled and no longer need crew to apply. Shift(s)/position(s) can be re-opened for bidding.

Consumable: An inventory item used up on the event and not returned (e.g. gaff tape, batteries). Once added to a reserved order, the quantity is removed from available inventory permanently.

Container: Umbrella term for case-type inventory items in LASSO: Kit, Locked Container, Unlocked Container, and Free Pack Container. Each behaves differently on the Pull and Return Sheets.

Container Restoring: A setting that opens a modal on the Return Sheet so you can scan items back into their container as it's returned. Items in the container's definition are simultaneously returned and restored to the case.

Cost Multiplier: a separate control for how asset costs are calculated. Matches the Multiplier by default, but can be independently adjusted.

Crew: A person who works events for your company. Crew profiles are scheduled onto rosters and use the LASSO Mobile App.

CSM: Customer Support Manager aka your contact at LASSO

Depreciation: The decrease in an asset's value over time, used in inventory accounting and asset valuation reports.

Deprep Window: a window of time during which gear is returned from an event and either returned to the shelf, sent for repair, or checked for functionality before being returned to the shelf.

Division: a label that can be applied to crew profiles and/or events. Ideal for limiting specific crew to specific divisions.

Event Status: A LASSO-defined status that indicates where in an event life cycle an event is. Cannot be manually changed.

Event Type: a custom label to indicate the type of event. Filtering and billing rules can be applied based on event type.

FIFO (first in, first out): A flag on products whose availability shifts based on order ship dates — earlier-shipping orders claim quantity first. In Warehouse Operations, an order containing FIFO products shows a light-green task bar when all other line items are fully reserved and subrentals approved. The color is a prompt to double-check that the FIFO products still have enough quantity before the order ships.

Financial Management: LASSO's modules for quoting, invoicing, payments, and revenue reporting. One of the four core LASSO modules alongside Crew Management, Event Management, and Inventory Management.

Free Pack Container: A case with no predefined contents. On the Pull Sheet, scanning the container's Asset Serial Code "opens" it; items scanned afterward are packed inside until the container is scanned again to "close" it. The container's dimensions and weight are factored into the Pull Sheet manifest.

Free Scan: A scan-only mode in Warehouse Activities used to look up or rebuild containers without being on a specific sheet.

Fringe: the additional costs for labor staffing, including tax rates for Social Security, Medicaid, and State Unemployment.

Gear Bill Rules: how the price of gear or inventory assets are billed to the end customer

Inactive (Crew profile): Inactive crew cannot login to the LASSO Mobile app, cannot be selected for jobs, and do not get notifications. The LASSO equivalent of removing a crew member from your hiring lists or deleting them.

Inactive (inventory asset): An asset that is no longer being actively used or rented.

Independent Transfer Order: A transfer order not related to a specific event. The equipment on this transfer order may be used for several events over an extended period of time, or may be permanently transferred to another warehouse.

Infinity Symbol (- ∞%): an item has a $O Total but has a cost of any value greater than $O, the Profit Margin will return as - ∞%.

Inventory Reconciliation: The process of matching physical inventory on hand to what LASSO has recorded, and resolving discrepancies (lost, missing, or extra items).

Kit: A composite inventory item that behaves like a rack with components "bolted in." The Kit itself is serialized (one barcode on the case), and stored components can be serialized or unserialized. Components cannot be added or removed on an order.

Labor Bill Rules: pertain to how labor is calculated on invoices. This includes factors like shift minimums and OT/DT thresholds. Simple Labor Rules can be applied in the Company Settings. Complex Labor Rules can be scripted in to your platform by LASSO. Contact your CSM or LASSO Support for assistance.

LASSO: The vertical SaaS platform for live event production companies, covering Crew Management, Event Management, Inventory Management, and Financial Management.

"Local" Filter: when enabled, shows only the crew who have the same main airport as venue.

Locked Container: A composite inventory item similar to a Kit, but the specific serialized components inside can rotate between orders. The container is serialized (one barcode on the outside); contents are "locked" to the container's defined product list, but individual asset serials can change.

Lost: An inventory status meaning the asset is gone and not expected to return. Compare to Missing (unaccounted-for but may still turn up).

Map Event Dates: when changing event dates, mapping the schedule takes the current schedule of shifts and maps them to the new event dates.

Max (on Related Items): the maximum number of the related item that can be added.

Merge Tags: Template variables that pull data into a printed or digital document. For example, a barcode template uses a Product Code merge tag to print the right code on each label.

Missing: An inventory status for an asset that's unaccounted-for but may still be located. Compare to Lost (gone and not expected back).

Multiplier: Determines your rental duration and affects asset pricing. A factor applied to a rental rate based on the rental duration (e.g. a 3-day multiplier on a daily rate).

Negative Infinity Symbol (- ∞%): an item has a $O Total but has a cost of any value greater than $O, the Profit Margin will return as - ∞%.

Pack Sheet: A general term covering both pull and return sheets in some screens/URLs.

Pay Rate: What you pay the crew member per hour for a position. Compare to Bill Rate (what you charge the client).

Payment Fees: additional charges applied based on the payment method used to collect payments. Credit Card processing fee is the most common example.

Permanent Contents: assets in a container that will stay with that container permanently and will not be removed, even when dumping container contents.

Permanent Transfer: Moves inventory from one warehouse to another permanently — items become part of the destination warehouse's stock. Compare to Temporary Transfer.

Pickup: the date that gear will be picked up from the venue. Happens after the Load Out.

Product: The model/type of an asset (e.g. "Shure ULXD-2"). One product can have many serialized assets under it.

Product Code: The model-level identifier (similar to "Model barcode" in Flex). Scanning the Product Code adds unserialized quantity.

Project Manager: A role assigned to a crew profile that allows the person to be selected as a Project Manager on specific events

Project Management: A separate LASSO module that is used for task management, internal chat, and overall management of duties and responsibilities of a single event. Only Users can have access to Project Management.

Pull Sheet: The list a warehouse uses to pack gear out for an event.

Rate Card - Labor: a pre-defined set of rules that can modify the rules for specific labor groups.

Rate Card - Gear/Equipment: a pre-defined set of rules that can modify how gear or equipment is priced. This can be set to change based on the client, event type, and other triggers.

Recipient List: list of individuals who are sent a document/email

Reorder Level: A threshold quantity. When available stock drops to or below this number, the item is flagged on inventory reports so you know to reorder. Often paired with Restock Level.

Restock Level: The target quantity to bring an item back up to when it's reordered. Often paired with Reorder Level.

Return Sheet: The list used when gear comes back to the warehouse. The pull sheet becomes the return sheet once shipped.

Revenue Type:

Road Case Name: an additional label for inventory assets that is different from the serial code, product code, or manufacturer serial code. Often used as a short-hand name when containers/packages differ in small ways.

Send to Accounting: a button that appears at the bottom of saved invoices that sends the invoice information to your Quickbooks Online via Zapier.

Short Term Transfer: a transfer order that will only be kept at the new warehouse location for a short period of time, or for a specific event. Short Term Transfers have return dates indicating when they will return to their home warehouse.

Shortage: When the quantity of an item committed to orders exceeds the available inventory for that date range. Shortages appear in the Shortages modal in Warehouse Operations.

Stencil: an additional label for inventory assets that is different from the serial code, product code, or manufacturer serial code. Often used as a short-hand name when containers/packages differ in small ways.

Subrental: Inventory you don't own but rent in from another vendor to fulfill an order. Best practice is to track it in LASSO but flag it so it isn't counted as owned stock.

Sub-venue: A specific area within a larger venue (e.g. "Ballroom A" inside a hotel). Lets you record more precise location info on an event.

Summary Page: a page within the event that summarizes the total labor hours, including Marketplace Labor. The Event Recap page can also be found here.

Transfer Order: Moves inventory from one warehouse to another for a defined period. Items return to the original warehouse afterward. Compare to Permanent Transfer.

To Venue / To Warehouse: on Purchase Orders, indicates if the sub-rented gear will be shipped directly to the venue, or to the warehouse.

Unlocked Container: A composite inventory item similar to a Locked Container, but components can be added or removed directly on an order — a hybrid between a Locked Container and a Priced Package.

User: An internal team member with a LASSO login (admins, schedulers, project managers). Compare to Crew (the people who work events).

Warehouse Activities: The page that organizes pull and return sheets, incoming and outgoing transfers or purchase orders, and calls out equipment that will need to quick turn from one order to another

Warehouse Operations (WH Ops): The page that handles physical warehouse work — pull sheets, return sheets, shortages, and inventory adjustments.

Zapier: a third party integrations system that can be used to bring information from an accounting system to LASSO, or from LASSO to an accounting system. Separately contracted by Zapier, and not a part of LASSO contracted modules. Required for most integrations.
