Overview
Custom fields and tags are powerful tools in LASSO that help you manage and crew your team more effectively. Custom fields can be used to capture specific information during the registration and application process, while tags are internal labels that administrators can use to manage and filter crew members.
Accessing Custom Fields
Navigate to the Administration Page:
Go to the Administration page.
Select Company Settings.
Click on Custom Fields.
Setting Up Custom Fields
Custom fields can be used to gather a wide range of information, such as certifications, license expiration dates, years of experience, and more. Here’s how to set them up:
Add a New Custom Field:
Click on the Add Custom Field button.
Enter the Name of the field (e.g., "Certification").
Choose the Format (e.g., text, date, dropdown).
Specify if the field is Specific to Any Position.
Define the Choices or Answers if it’s a dropdown field.
Set the field as Optional, Hidden, or Required.
Indicate if it’s Internal.
Set the Export Sequence to determine the order in which the field appears in exports.
Manage Custom Fields:
Once set up, custom fields can be accessed and updated from the Crew Profile.
You can view and edit fields such as Background Check, Certification, Date of Hire, and Dietary Restrictions.
Using Hidden Fields
Hidden fields are managed by administrators and are not visible to crew members. Common hidden fields include:
Date of Hire
Background Check Status
Assessment Score
Tax Documents Last Updated
Accessing Tags
Navigate to the Administration Page:
Go to the Administration page.
Select Company Settings.
Click on Tags and Statuses.
Setting Up Tags
Tags are internal labels that administrators can add to crew profiles to manage important characteristics. Here’s how to set them up:
Add a New Tag:
Click on the Add Tag button.
Enter the Name of the tag (e.g., "People Person", "Spanish Speaker", "A-List Roster").
Specify the Positions the tag is allowed for.
Choose a Color for the tag.
Indicate if it’s an Important Attribute.
Manage Tags:
Once set up, tags can be accessed and added from the Crew Profile.
You can add tags to the Upper Section of the profile for quick reference.
Bulk Editing Custom Fields and Tags
Navigate to the All Crew Page:
Go to the All Crew page.
Select the crew members you want to edit.
Click on Crew Actions.
Choose Edit Custom Fields or Edit Tags.
Bulk Edit:
This feature is useful for updating information for multiple crew members at once, such as marking everyone as hired or confirming background checks.
Using Custom Fields and Tags in Crewing
Position Criteria:
Go to the Crewing Section.
Click on the Position Criteria button.
Add criteria based on custom fields or tags.
For example, you can filter for crew members who are part of your A-List Roster or have a specific Console Experience.
Pending Crew List:
Use the Pending Crew List to filter new crew members.
Add criteria to filter by tags, such as a specific console they have used.
Custom fields and tags are versatile tools that can significantly enhance your crew management process. By setting up and using these features effectively, you can streamline your crewing efforts and ensure that you have the right information at your fingertips.
