What are Publicly Available Positions?
When using this LASSO Scheduling feature, crew members who fit the designated criteria for a position will automatically be able to see the new opportunity in their LASSO app with the click of a toggle switch on the Crewing page of an event.
How does it work?
Once the criteria for a position has been set, click the bottom toggle switch on the position you’d like to make publicly available. All crewmembers who fit this criteria will be able to see and apply for the opportunities the same as if invitations had been sent.
Is this feature a good fit for you?

Can I make ALL positions publicly available as a default or with one click?
No, this is not a feature that can be made the default setting for all positions added to your events. We do not want positions to be published to your crew until you are ready!
Positions need to be individually set as publicly available so that you as the employer can still choose to send invitations when needed.
Which crewmembers will receive publicly available position opportunities?
Only crewmembers who meet the Position Criteria will be offered these positions. Position Criteria can be set on a per-position level, or applied to the entire event.
Some criteria, such as “Local Only”, can be set as default criteria in your Company Settings.
Will the ‘status’ of the crewmembers still update to ”Invited” when a position(s) has been made publicly available?
No, the “Invited” status will only show for crewmembers who are sent invitations. Crew who apply or decline opportunities will still update with the appropriate status based on their response.
Do publicly available positions appear differently in the app for crewmembers?
Nope! These opportunities will look the same in the app for crewmembers. The only difference is that crew will not receive a notification about these new opportunities.
Do crewmembers get a notification when new positions are made publicly available?
No, notifications are not generated by making positions publicly available. Some training will be needed to ensure that crewmembers are checking their LASSO app regularly, regardless of if they have been notified about new opportunities.
How long will a position remain publicly available?
Similar to positions that are published via an Invite, positions that are made publicly available will no longer appear in the crew app when either the Opportunity Deadline has passed, or when a position is closed for bidding
Can I still publish invitations for positions that have been made publicly available?
Absolutely! This feature removes the requirement to publish positions via invitations but does not prevent the sending of invitations for any position.
