Approve Time Off Requests in LASSO

From the Employee Portal, crew can submit PTO and time off requests for your approval.

How to Approve Time Off Requests

Click on the Tasks menu along the navigation bar at the top of LASSO. You'll see an option for PTO Management.

When Crew submit their PTO Requests, they will be listed here. Columns can be filtered and sorted, and specific date ranges can be selected to review.

Double click on a PTO Request to view the details and add a Manager note. Manager notes are required when rejecting a PTO request.

Once approved, the approved requests will move to the "Approved" section. Click the "Approved" filter at the top to view the approved requests. The PTO Management page will default to showing you Pending Request when you navigate to it.

The Approved PTO will also become a block of unavailable time on the Crew Member's Calendar so you don't need to manually re-enter this information.

How Crew Submit Time Off Requests

Crew members will need to visit my.lasso.io and login using the same credentials as they use to login to the LASSO Mobile app.

Once logged in, Crew can select their employer along the left (if they have multiple employers who use LASSO). If you use LASSO Payroll, this is the same Employee Portal that Crew use to access pay stubs and pay information.

Crew will select the "Time Off" tab header, then click the Request Time Off button. They can enter the start and end dates of their time off, the Time Off Type, total hours, and optional comments. Weekend hours can be set to zero so that weekends do not deduct from the bank of hours.

Crew will be able to see their pending PTO requests, and withdrawn them if needed.

Once approved, crew will see the updated status for their request.

If an approved request needs to be rejected, this is also possible. Simply view the approve requests, and click the red x to reject it.

Time off vs. Unavailabilities

Time off requests and Unavilabilites are two completely separate things.

A Time Off Request must be approved by a Supervisor or Manager. Time Off Requests draw from a bank of accrued hours. Time Off Requests do not get added to your calendar until they are approved, and can be denied by your employer.

Adding an Unavailable date to your schedule simply states that you are not available to work that day. Unavailable dates do NOT require approval from a Supervisor or Manager, and do not pull from any bank of accrued hours.

  • Allowing Crew to Manage Unavailabilities can be toggled on/off from Company settings.
