Updated over 2 months ago

Setting up your calendar feed in LASSO is a straightforward process that can help you stay organized and ensure that your schedule is always up to date.

Navigate to Company Settings

Click on the Administration tab located at the top of your LASSO site. Select Company Settings, then choose the "Calendar Feeds" tab.

Company Calendar Feed

The first Calendar Feed available is an Administration/User calendar feed that includes all events with labor. This is a helpful calendar for Labor Coordinators and Project Managers.

  1. Copy the ICS Link:

    1. You will see an ICS (Internet Calendar Subscription) link. This link is essential for syncing your LASSO calendar with your preferred calendar app.

    2. Click on the link to copy it to your clipboard.

  2. Paste the ICS Link into Your Calendar App:

    1. Open the calendar app you use (e.g., Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar).

    2. Find the option to add a calendar feed or subscribe to a calendar.

    3. Paste the ICS link into the designated field and follow the app’s instructions to complete the setup.

Crew Calendar Sync

Crew members can also sync their personal calendars through the LASSO app.

A list of all crew who have added their personal calendar sync will be displayed as a list on the Calendar Feed page.

Crew Calendar Feed only shows the specific events that that crew member is assigned to. Crew cannot see events they are not assigned to.

Crew can set up their calendar feed directly from the LASSO Mobile app.

Sync Frequency

Please note that the calendar feed only syncs once per day. The exact sync frequency depends on the calendar app you are using. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, refer to your calendar app’s documentation.

Subscribing to LASSO Events

LASSO supports synchronizing event information with calendar applications like Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Outlook for administrators. The specifics vary slightly depending on which calendar application you use; the key is the need to subscribe to the LASSO calendar feed.

Once LASSO has enabled calendar feeds for your organization, a new ‘Calendar Feeds’ tab will appear on the Administration > Company Settings screen:

On this screen you will see a list of available calendar feeds. Next to each enabled feed you will see a Copy button:

Right-click the Copy button and select Copy Link Address. That can be pasted into your web-based or desktop calendar app.

Google Calendar

In Google Calendar, for example, you would go to Settings and then select Add Calendar. Select the From URL option, paste the link, and click Add Calendar.

You can then adjust your calendar preferences from there.

Apple Calendar

In Apple Calendar, go to File > New Calendar Subscription, paste in the link and click Subscribe:

You can then adjust your calendar preferences on the next screen:

Microsoft Outlook

The method for adding a calendar subscription in Microsoft Outlook varies depending on the version you are using. Please review the Help documentation for the specific version of Outlook you are using.

In Outlook 2016, go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.

Select the Internet Calendars tab and click New:

Paste the URL you copied from LASSO and click Add:

In the Folder Name box, type the name as you want it to appear in Outlook and click OK.

Outlook.com has a different approach. Go to the Add Calendar menu and select From internet:

In the Link to the calendar box, type or copy and paste the calendar URL. In the Calendar name box, enter a name for the linked calendar. Select Save.

By following these steps, you can easily integrate your LASSO calendar with your preferred calendar app, ensuring that you and your team are always on the same page. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to our support team.
