It's time to generate a sh estimate! First, you'll want to create your order and add in your Show Order Details, if not done already. Once that's done, you can follow the guide below to generate your estimate.
*Important note* Before getting started on your shipping estimate, make sure you have truck types added into "Company Inventory Settings" under the option for Logistics.
To get started, click on the Logistics Spoke in your event menu to navigate to the shipping estimator.
Next, you can decide to work on any open orders or scheduled shipments. To estimate the order you just created, click on "Open orders" and click the check box to select the order(s) that you want to work on.
Once an order is selected, you can click the pencil icon to edit your departure and arrival date/times if needed.
A summary will appear below your selected order with your estimated weight, total estimated volume, shipment departure, and shipment arrival.
If you are estimating for both departure and return, you will want to select the same order(s) from the return section below. You will see the same opportunity to edit your pick-up and return date/times.
Once you have added all of your dates/times, click "select transportation options" to generate your options
Select from available truck options in the "truck selection" section.
Determine which truck-friendly route you would like to use and then click "show shipping calculator". You also have the ability to shift between departure and return when selecting routes.
In the estimate section on the right-hand side, add in your mileage rate along with any additional items needed that you will need (like handcarts).
Review your estimate and select "save shipment".
You did it! Congrats on generating your shipping estimate. Now it's time to configure your quote. See you in the next article!
